Terms and Conditions-The Union County Farmers Market Food Hub service is offered to you based on your acceptance of the terms, conditions, and notices contained herein, without any modification to the aforementioned (the “Terms”). By using the Union County Farmers Market Food Hub, you agree to all such terms, as may be modified from time to time as set forth herein. Please read through the terms carefully and print out or save a copy for your records. The Union County Farmers Market Food Hub reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to change the Terms. Each order you (“user”) place is a legally enforceable contract. Failure to make timely payment or pick up orders may result in losing the ability to place future orders at the discretion of the Union County Farmers Market Food Hub. Consumer Advisory: Consuming raw or undercooked meats, poultry, or eggs may increase your risk of foodborne illness. Indemnification: User agrees to protect, defend, indemnify and hold the North Carolina Cooperative Extension and Union County, its officers, employees and agents free and harmless from and against any and all losses, penalties, damages, settlements, costs, charges, professional fees or other expenses or liabilities of every kind and character arising out of or relating to any and all claims, liens, demands, obligations, actions, proceedings, or causes of action of every kind in connection with or arising out of this Agreement and/or the performance hereof, or User’s use of the Union County Farmers Market Food Hub, that are due, in whole or in part, to the negligence of User. User further agrees to investigate, handle, respond to, provide defense for, and defend the same at its sole expense and agrees to bear all other costs and expenses related thereto. Limitation of Liability: To the maximum extent allowable by North Carolina law, neither the North Carolina Cooperative Extension or Union County nor any of its officer, employees, or agents shall be liable for any damages of any kind, including, without limitation, compensatory, direct, indirect, special, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages; loss of data, income, or profit; or loss or damage to property, arising out of or in connection with the use of, or the inability to use, the Union County Farmers Market Food Hub service, website, or the internet. Your sole and exclusive remedy shall be for you to discontinue your use of the Union County Farmers Market Food Hub.

  • Fees?

    • Fees are calculated based upon your membership with the Union County Farmers Market
    • You do not have to be a registered vendor with the Union County Farmers Market in order to sell through The Food Hub
  • What can you sell?

    • Meat, Produce, and Value Added Goods from your farm are eligible after being certied local by the Local Foods Coordinator
    • All products must meet the program standards and requirements
  • How does it work?

    • The Local Foods Coordinator gathers a list of products available for the upcoming week for businesses to place their order
    • Products are then brought to the market for the business to pick up
    • All transactions are between the farmer and the business
